Sister Audrey Bennett, age 54, of 231 Clement Avenue, Danville, VA, departed her life on September 28, 2015 at Danville Regional Medical Center, Danville, VA.

She was born on July 27, 1961, in Danville, VA, to the late Harvey Williams and Mary Retha Bennett.

Audrey worked at Diamond Tobacco Company as a PCA and was a member of Vance Street Missionary Baptist Church. She accepted Christ at an early age. Audrey was educated in the Danville Public School System.

She is survived by her children Lamontae Bennett and Lakira Bennett. Grandchildren; Miyasia, Landynn, Kayleigh, and Nyrissa.  Sisters; Patricia Bennett, Deborah Bennett, Felicia Robertson (Leslie), Loretta Terry, Valerie Terry, Debbie Avery, Christine Price, Jean Harris, Jackie Coleman, and Patricia Childress, .Brothers;  Ricky Bennett (Juanita), John Bennett (India), Andy Calloway (Tara), Tony Smith (Bernice), and Randy Miller (Adrienne). Special nephew Kavion Petty, aunts, Barbara Bennett and Gwendolyn Porter, uncle, John Thomas Bennett (Diana); special nephew, Kavion Petty; longtime care and loving friends, Gail Saunder and Beverly Cardwell; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, Audrey was predeceased by sisters, Marylin Williams and Lorrine.

Memorial services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, October 05, 2015 at Vance Street Missionary Baptist Church with Arnold Wilkerson officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
