Mrs. Barbara Ann Teague Norton, age 74, of 222 Courtland St., Apt. 108, Danville VA, passed away on July 8, 2017 at Danville Regional Medical Center, Danville, VA.

Mrs. Norton was born on January 9, 1943 in Durham, North Carolina, to the late Samuel Otis Teague and Beulah Prather Teague.

Mrs. Norton was a homemaker and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, VFW Post 647 Auxiliary, and American Legion Dan River Post 1097 Auxiliary.

Left behind to cherish her memory is her loving daughter, Patricia Ann Seaman and her husband Thomas; son, Charles William Norton; four grandchildren, Pamela Valdez, Christopher Seaman, Alexandra Seaman, and Danielle Norton; three great-grandchildren, Daniel Valdez, Landyn Seaman, and Timothy Valdez; step-mother, Pat Teague; aunts, Jean Parrish (Clifton) and Marion Shelton; cousins, Lois Brincefield, Joy Hardy (Billy), Cathy Labiak (Joe), Coy Lee Saul, Jr., Gerald Funk (Marilyn), Pat Linchfield (Sandy); sister-in-law, Linda Reed; Nephew, Justin Reed (Stephanie); great-nephew, Logan Reed; and great-niece, Makenna Reed.

 In addition to her parents Mrs. Norton was predeceased by beloved husband Robert William Norton.

 Graveside services will be conducted Thursday, July 13, 2017 at 12 o’clock p.m. at Danville Memorial Gardens with the Reverend Duane Blevins officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 13, 2017 at 10 a.m. until 11 a.m.at Swicegood Funeral Home.
