Barry Lynn Mullis, 61, passed away on August 26, 2015 at Danville Regional Medical Center.  He was born in Danville on October 13, 1953 to the late Robert and Lacie Vickers Mullis.  He was of the Christian faith.  Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his brother, David Mullis and his sister, Ruby Scruggs.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Jessica Mullis Thorne and husband, Michael of Winchester, VA and Bendy Mullis Giddens and husband, Brian of Sanger, TX; former spouse, Teri Mullis; grandchildren, Lauren Acie Giddens, Luke Thorne and Avery Lynn Thorne; his brothers and sisters, James Mullis, Donald Mullis, Michael Wayne Mullis and Vickie Mae Berkley.

A visitation will be held on Friday, August 28, 2015 from 6-8 pm in the Swicegood Funeral Home Chapel. 

In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Barry’s name to The Danville Humane Society; P.O Box 3352, Danville, VA 24543.
