Bruce Albert Owen, age 59, of 120 Bennett Street, Danville, VA, died on Tuesday, January 16, 2018, at SOVAH-Danville.

Mr. Owen was born on January 15, 1959, in Danville, VA, a son of the late Joseph Cline Owen and Lettie Ann Arendall Owen. He lived most of his life in Danville where he worked as a mechanic. In his younger years, he was a baseball player and he enjoyed dirt track racing. Mr. Owen was married to Teresa Jordan Burnette who survives and was of the Christian faith.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Blake and Bronson Owen; two step-sons, P.G. and Mason Burnette; siblings, Jack Owen, Gene Owen, Claude Owen and Letty Campbell (Tony).

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a sister, Joanie Brown.

A Memorial Service will be conducted on Friday, January 19, 2018 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Stephen White officiating.
