Carolyn Owen Mills, 97, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, April 13, 2015 at Roman Eagle.  She was born in Danville on May 6, 1917 to the late James and Pearl Owen.  Carolyn was of the Baptist faith and a member of College Park Baptist Church.  She worked for a many of years for Dan River Mills.  Carolyn will be greatly missed.  Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Johnny S. Mills Sr. and sister, Ray Mays.

Left to cherish her memory is her sons, Ronald Mills, Jerard Mills, and Johnny Mills, Jr., her daughter, Joni Mills Webster; grandchildren, Schuyler Mills, Antje Mills, Andre Mills and Jennifer Mills; and several great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 16, 2015 from 12:30 – 1:30 pm in the Swicegood Funeral Home Chapel.  A graveside service will be conducted following the visitation on Thursday at 2:00 pm in Highland Burial Park.
