Charles Michael “Mike” Harris, age 57, passed away May 30, 2017 at UNC Chapel Hill Memorial Hospital. He was the son of the late Opal Ray Harris and Peggy Campbell Harris Yates.

Survivors, in addition to his mother, are sons, Landon Avery McKee and Michael Avery Harris; also, Mary McKee Brandon Tate and Neathery “Nikki” Landrum Harris, mothers of his sons.

In addition to his father, Mr. Harris was predeceased by his daughter, Charlee Nichole Harris.

He was a loving father and son and will be greatly missed by all of his cousins, aunt, uncle, family, friends, and childhood best friend Thomas Cahill. He was of the Baptist faith. He owned and operated his business, Harris Electronics, and computer repairs; as well as working as a court reporter.

Mr. Harris was a graduate of Tunstall High School and had an Associate’s Degree from the Art Institute of Atlanta.

A graveside service will be held Monday, June 5, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Schoolfield Cemetery with the Reverend Averette Witcher officiating. The family will gather at the home at other times. Visitation is one hour prior to the service at Schoofield Cemetery.
