Mr. Danny Gene Williams, Sr., 69, of Blanch, NC, died on July 30, 2015 at his residence. He was born on August 23, 1945, in Danville, VA, to the late John and Thelma Lakey Williams. Mr. Williams worked at Hardees for approximately 40 years and was of the Pentecostal Faith.  He loved working on and fixing things and he enjoyed fishing in his free time. He was a very smart man who was loved deeply and will be terrible missed.

Mr. Williams is survived by his two daughters, Michelle Gryder of Providence and Katie Williams of Danville; his son, Dan Williams II of Providence; four grandchildren, Hunter, Maryah, Micheal and Justin; his sister, Brenda Beverly; two brothers, Bobby Williams and Freddy Williams; his former wife, Brenda Williams Erickson; his special companion, “Cookie” and an extended family member, Susan Harris.

In addition to his parents Mr. Williams was predeceased by his second wife, Denna Williams Barker.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm on Monday, August 3, 2015 at Swicegood Funeral Home with Pastor Jason Cook officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday, August 2, 2015 from 6pm until 8pm. Interment will follow in Highland Burial Park in Danville, Virginia.
