Danny Ray “Ray Ray” Walker, age 59, of Danville, VA, passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2016.

He was born on September 01, 1956, in Danville, VA, to the late Leroy Walker and Gaynell Williams Walker.

Danny Ray was self-employed as a contractor, and he was of the Methodist faith.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa Moore Walker; sisters, Gayle Annette Walker; Vicky Walker Aherron and husband Mike Aherron; Terry L. Riggins; special brother, Marvin Riggins; grandchildren, Corey Childress, Ivy, Sabrina, and Stormi McLane; step-son, Joseph McLane; step-daughters, Chelsea and Chloe Pearson; nieces and nephews, Blake Walker, Laura Aherron Gregory, Michael “Mikey” Aherron, Chuck and Chris Clay; twelve great-nieces and nephews; and many friends and relatives who loved him.

A celebration of Danny Ray’s life will be held at 2:00 p .m. on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church with Rev. Susan Hannah facilitating. At other times the family will be receiving at the home of his sister Terry Riggins, 270 Howland Circle, Danville, VA.
