Mrs. Dorothy Mae Jones Setliff, age 85, of 240 Old Mayfield Road, Danville, VA, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at her son’s home.

Mrs. Setliff was born on June 15, 1931, in Grayson County, VA, to the late Claude Swanson Jones and Lena Barnes Jones.

She worked at Inn Keeper in housekeeping and was of the Christian faith.

Mrs. Setliff is survived by her children, Jesse Lee Pierce and Alice Faye Burton; grandson, Daniel Lee Sally; and Son-in-law, Keenan Lee Burton.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Setliff was predeceased by her husband, “Buddy” Setliff; sister, Fannie Atkins; and brother, Robert Jones.

Thank you to two of her good friends, Daniel Sigmon and Dorothy Chitwood for all they each did for her.

“To be absent from this body, is to be present with the LORD.”

Graveside services will be conducted Friday, October 7, 2016 at Schoolfield Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. with Dr. Charles Scearce officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday night, October 6, 2016, at Swicegood Funeral Home at 6 pm until 7:30 pm.
