Dorothy Wilson Snead, age 65, died on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at Roman Eagle Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.

She was born on May 22, 1950, in Abingdon, VA, to the late Rev. Jennings Wilson and Nancy Catherine Childress Wilson.

Mrs. Snead was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her husband, Harold of the residence; son, David Snead and wife Kimberly of Salem, VA; brother, Bobby Jennings Wilson of Danville, VA; sisters, Eva Mae Frye of Saltville, VA, Joyce Ann Taylor of Chilhowie, VA; and Mary Ellen Lord of Marion, VA; grandson, Owen Snead of Salem, VA; and granddaughter, Olivia Snead of Salem, VA.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Snead was predeceased by her sister, Catherine Louise Wilson.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 27, 2015 at Danville Memorial Gardens with Rev. Mike Wiles officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday, September 26, 2015 from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at Swicegood Funeral Home. At other times, the family will be at the residence, 1722 Arrowhead Lane, Danville, VA.
