Edna May Young, 77, of 521 Dishman Loop, Eden passed away on Monday, April 27, 2015 at Morehead Memorial Hospital.  She was born on October 17, 1937 in Ferrum, Virginia to the late Henry William Young and the late Mamie Gusler Young Marshall.  Edna always remembered to send a card for each location to everyone she knew, she never forgot anyone.  She loved NASCAR and was an avid Jeff Gordon fan.  Edna was a caring person that took care of everyone she knew.  Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her brother, Dillard Young.

Edna is survived by her life-long companion, John Foster of the home; sisters Rebecca Elizabeth Barber and Ruby Ann Adkins both of Danville; brother, Curtis Young of Ferrum and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2015 in Mountain View Cemetery at 11:00 am.  There will not be a formal visitation but the family will receive friends other times at the home of sister, Ruby Adkins, 5 Dallas Ave., Danville.
