Edney Harrison Lail, age 88, of 275 Arnett Blvd., Danville, VA, died on Tuesday, February 09, 2016 at Danville Regional Medical Center.

He was born on October 23, 1927, in Danville, VA, to the late William Harrison Lail and Elizabeth Buckner Lail.

Mr. Lail worked as an electrician and was of the Baptist faith. He was a veteran of the United States Navy during WWII.

He is survived by his daughter, Susan Lail of Danville, VA.

In addition to his parents Mr. Lail was predeceased by his wife, Elsie Motley Lail; half-brothers, William, Lee, Zollie, Ollie, Raymond, and Jesse; and half-sisters of NC, Arey, Lola, Essie, and Dessie; and of VA, Beatrice Buckner McDowell.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 12, 2016 at Swicegood Funeral Home with Rev. Johnnie Jones officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at the funeral home. At other times, the family will be at the residence. Interment will follow in Highland Burial Park.
