Edward Eugene Harville, age 71, of 2342 Hinesville Rd., Danville, Virginia, died on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Harville was born on May 15, 1945 in Danville, VA, a son of the late Eugene Garland Harville and Annie Katherine Chumley Harville. He lived all of his life in Danville, VA where he was employed as a painter with Steve Chapman and Co. He was married to Brenda Faye Harville who predeceased him and was of the Baptist Faith.

Mr. Harville is survived by his children, Pam Crowder, Edward Eugene Harville, Jr. (Angie), Paul “Tony” Harville, and Bruce Lee Harville (Dolly); grandchildren China Harville, Jessica Harville, Edward “Taz” Harville III, Taylor Harville, Paul “Lil T” Harville, Jr., Jessica Foster and Roy Foster III; step grandchildren, Derrick Myers, Scott Myers, Clayton Quesenberry and Amy Griffith; great grandchildren, Julius Harville and Moises Fernandez; step great grandchild, Trevor Quesenberry; sisters, Barbara McDowell (Chris), Kathy Dixon, Debbie Lewis (Terry), and Judy Smith (Mark); and his grand dog, Jordan.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by a brother, Randy L. Harville.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Swicegood Funeral Home with the Reverend Rick Markham officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday night from 6:30 to 8:30 at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at his residence, 2342 Hinesville Rd. Danville, VA.
