Frank Beamon, age 76, of 511 County Lane, Pelham, NC, passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at Kindred Hospital, Greensboro, NC.

Mr. Beamon was born on February 15, 1940, in Danville, VA, to the late Charles Dewey Beamon, Sr. and Ida Willis Beamon.

He worked as the Service Manager for numerous Auto Dealerships. At the time of his retirement, Mr. Beamon owned/operated Westover Auto Sales located on Ingram Road. Throughout his life, Mr. Beamon was an avid car collector and loved racing, which consisted of dirt track racing, asphalt racing, drag racing, and motor cross racing. In addition, he was Mid-Atlantic Cross County Racing Champion during the periods of 1978, 79, and 80. In later years, he was a loyal and dedicated friend to his “buddies”. Also, Mr. Beamon and his brothers enjoyed spending their spare time playing their favorite musical instruments.

Mr. Beamon was a veteran of the United States Navy and was a member of the Fairview Methodist Church.

Mr. Beamon is survived by his loving wife Linda Murphy Beamon; daughters, Brenda Wyatt (Mike) of Chatham, VA, and Mary Jo Blair (Kenny) of Castalia, OH; stepdaughter, Beth Payne (Greg) of Mebane, NC; grandchildren, Dylan Wyatt, Chase Wyatt, Jessica Blair, and Kenneth Blair; as well as five great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents Mr. Beamon was predeceased by his sister, Frances Thompson and brothers, Raymond Beamon, Charles D. Beamon, Jr., Paul Beamon, and Joseph Wayne Beamon.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Danville Memorial Gardens with Rev. Duane Blevins officiating. Visitation will be held Friday, October 21, 2016 from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at Swicegood Funeral Home.
