Mr. Frank Wayne Chaney, age 73, of 138 Leslie Lane, Danville, VA, passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Danville Regional Medical Center.

He was born on October 21, 1943, in Danville, VA, to the late John Chaney and Bessy Smith Chaney.

Mr. Chaney was of the Baptist faith. He served in the U.S. Navy. He was also a loving father, husband, grandfather, and Great-grandfather.

In addition to his parents Mr. Chaney was predeceased by his former wife, Victoria Chaney.

He is survived by his loving wife Linda Chaney of the home; children, Frank W. Chaney, Jr. of Holland, Donald Chaney of MA, William Chaney of MA, Kathy Wilson of VA, Karen Cunningham of ME, and Janice Pratt of NC; step-children, Connie McBride of VA, Robin Whitley of VA, Jamie Moshenek of VA, Kelly Riddle of VA, and James Evans of VA; twenty six grandchildren; four Great-grandchildren; one brother, Donald Chaney of NC and one sister, Sue Gunnell of VA.

A Celebration of Life will be conducted Thursday, January 19, 2017 from 5pm until 7pm, at Riveroak Church of God with Rev. Ron Hill officiating. The family requests that any flowers be sent to the residence, 138 Leslie Lane, Danville, VA 24541.
