George Kelly Fry, 77, passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2015 at Danville Regional Medical Center.  He was born on September 22, 1937 in Union City, KS.  George served his country proud in the United States Navy.  He retired from the Southern Railway as an Engineer.  Along with his parents his is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 35 years, Barbara Payne Fry.

George is survived by his children, Terry Fry and wife, Vicky, Lori Inman and husband, Darrell, Lisa Alfred and husband, Gary, Randy Fry and wife, Brenda and Kevin Fry and wife, Heather; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Billy and Larry Payne; half-sister, Shari Mason

The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 26, 2015 from 2-3:30 pm in the Swicegood Funeral Home Chapel and other times at 544 Ferry Rd, Danville.  A funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 pm in the Swicegood Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gil Hawks and Rev. Roger Ewing officiating.  Interment will follow the funeral in Danville Memorial Gardens.  At the family’s request, memorial contributions may be made in George’s name to Danville Life Saving Crew; 202 Christopher Lane, Danville, VA  24541.
