Harold Edward Emerson, age 65, of Meritt Island, FL., died on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at Cape Canaveral Hospital in Cocoa Beach, FL.

He was born on April 12, 1950, in Danville, VA, to the late Earl Kermit Emerson Sr. and Jacqueline Puckett Emerson.

Mr. Emerson worked at Goodyear Tire and Rubber before his retirement, and he was a member of Schoolfield Baptist Church. He was a member of the United States National Guard.

He is survived by his daughter, Jamie Emerson Fink and husband Troy of Fayetteville, AR.; sons: William Earl Emerson and wife Ann of Ringgold, VA, and Christian Sherman Emerson of Raleigh, NC; brothers: Earl Kermit Emerson Jr. and wife Kathy of Danville, VA and Bradley Hamilton Emerson and wife Lisa of Brosville, VA; granddaughter, Kennedy Reese Emerson of Ringgold, VA; grandson, Cameron Douglas Fink of Fayetteville, AR.; a number of nieces and nephews; and a great-nephew and great-niece.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 04, 2015 at Highland Burial Park with Rev. Duane Blevins officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the home of Mr. Emerson’s brother, Earl Emerson, 221 Cambridge Dr. (Surry Hills).
