Jane Inez “Petie” LaPrad Cobb, age 86, of 135 Reuben Ct, Lot#9, Danville, VA, passed away on Saturday, June 04, 2016 at Danville Regional Medical Center.

She was born on September 11, 1929, in Salem Roanoke County, VA, to the late J.C. LaPrad and Mable Beatrice Lawrence LaPrad.

Mrs. Cobb worked in Dan River Mills in the weaving department before her retirement, and she was a member of West Main Church of God for 50 years, which is now known as River Oak Church of God.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas Cobb of the residence; children, Barry Hill (Connie) of Greensboro, NC, Joey Hill (Tammie) of Eden, NC, and Janet Hill Jenkins of Danville, VA; grandchildren, Angie Wood, Ashli Hill, Crissy Wood, Ryan Hill, and Justin Jenkins; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Shirley Stowe and Julia Kellam; step-children, Teresa Brummett and Cindy Furr.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Cobb was predeceased by two brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 07, 2016 at Swicegood Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Heffinger officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Danville Memorial Gardens.
