Jerry Lynn Cook, 54, of 501 Oxford Place, passed away on January 18, 2016 at Danville Regional Medical Center. He had battled cancer since 2012.

Prior to his death, Jerry had been a foreman at Dimon Tobacco Company. He was of the Baptist faith.

He was born the son of Anna Dalton Cook and the late James Cook. Jerry is survived by his loving wife, Susan Willis Testerman Cook; brothers, Randy Cook (Vickie) and Steve Cook (Donna); nieces, Kelly Smith, Crystal Meadows; and nephew, Jamie Cook. Also, he is survived by his beloved cat, Fattygirl.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Barker Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Danville Cancer Society, 223 Riverview Drive, Suite J, Danville, VA 24541.
