Mr. Jesse W. Wilson, Jr., age 68, of Stokesland Ave., Danville, VA, died on Sunday, June 26, 2016 at Danville Regional Medical Center, Danville, VA.

He was born on September 29, 1947, in Danville, VA, to the late Jesse Willie Wilson, Sr. and Annie Murphy Wilson.

Mr. Wilson worked as a furniture worker at Southside Manufacturing and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.

He is survived by his son, Jesse W. Wilson, III and his wife Jessica of Lynchburg, VA; sister, Carolyn Ann Wilson of Danville, VA; and four grandchildren, Jesse Wilson IV of Danville, VA, Elaina R. Wilson, Aiden J. Wilson, and Alexandra (Lexi) R. Wilson, all of Lynchburg, VA.

Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at11 am at Wilson Family Cemetery, Cascade, VA with Rev. David Turbyfill officiating. Family will be receiving friends and family at other times at the home of Mr. Wilson’s sister. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Salvation Army.
