Mrs. Joyce Arthur Ferguson, age 80, of 650 Dual Track Road, Chatham, VA peacefully went to be with our Lord and Savior on November 24, 2015 at her home.  Mrs. Ferguson was born on May 9, 1935, in Gladys, VA, to the late Howard Arthur and Lottie Tucker Arthur. She worked as a seamstress for Burlington Industries before retiring and was a member of Oak Grove Christian Church in Chatham. In addition to her parents Mrs. Ferguson was preceded in death by her step-son, Vernon Ferguson; brothers, Howard Arthur, Roger Arthur, Forrest Arthur, and Jimmy Arthur.

Mrs. Ferguson is survived by her beloved husband of eighteen years, H. Thomas Ferguson; sons, Dale Amos of Baltimore, MD, Walter Amos of Midlothian, VA, and Tim Amos and wife Wanda of Halifax, VA; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Swanson Arthur of Concord, VA, and Bobby Arthur of Gladys, VA; step-children, Tom Ferguson, Edwin Ferguson, and Trema McKenna all of Sutherlin, VA; eight step-grandchildren; twelve nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in Floral Hills Cemetery with Rev. Frank Fuller and Rev. Terry Newton officiating.  There will not be a formal visitation but the family will receive friends at the home.
