Judith Ann Yates Coward, age 70, of 1408 Blair Loop Rd., Danville, VA, died on Saturday, November 07, 2015 at Danville Regional Medical Center.

She was born on September 28, 1945, in Danville, VA, to Gladys Doss Gillian and the late Leeland A. Yates.

Mrs. Coward was employed by Pete’s Pizza before her retirement and was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her Fiancé, Leon Kendrick of the residence; son, Robert Coward; brothers, Jimmy Yates and wife Linda of Mt. Airy, NC and Dewey Yates of Greensboro, NC; and sisters, Carolyn Wyatt and Linda Hammock of Rustburg, VA, and Robin O’Conner and husband Ronnie of Greensboro, NC.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Coward was predeceased by Donnie Yates, Freddie Yates, and Dennis Yates; sister, Phyllis Yates; and grandparents, Nathan and Louise Yates.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 13, 2015 at Swicegood Funeral Home with Dr. Charles Scearce officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 12, 2015 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Highland Burial Park.
