Kelley Bohannon Smith, age 36, of 368 Gunn Lane, Ringgold, VA, died on Saturday, December 30, 2017, at her residence.

Mrs. Smith was born on April 27, 1981, in Danville, VA, a daughter of the late Kenneth Bohannon and Martha Holland Richardson who survives. She lived most of her life in the Ringgold area where she was employed with Regional One as a paramedic and later as a volunteer with the Ringgold Fire Department. She was a member of Union Church and Birchcreek Motorsports.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Mike Smith; a daughter, Kali Smith; brother, Sean Bohannon (Caryn); step daughter, Michaela Smith (Phillip); and four step grandchildren, Rhys Shelton, Axle Shelton, Chance Barnett and Summer Barnett.

In addition to her father, she was predeceased by her step father, Norman “Bud” Richardson; maternal grandparents, Tom and Anne Holland; and paternal grandparents, Kenneth Bohannon, Sr. and Edith Richardson Bohannon.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, January 6, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Union Church with Pastor Adam Cook officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service and at other times the family will be at 771 Fall Creek Road, Ringgold, VA, 24586. Interment will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Ringgold Volunteer Fire and Rescue, 3880 Tom Fork Rd, Ringgold, VA 24586, or to Union Kids, 810 Main St, Danville, VA 24541.
