Mrs. Margaret Hogan Lucas, age 86, Danville, VA, went to be with the Lord on October 30, 2017 in Ringgold, VA.

She was born on May 22, 1931, in Pelham, NC, to the late Bruce Hogan and Elizabeth Adams Hogan. She lived in Danville for 61 years. Mrs. Lucas worked at Dan River Mills early in life and went on to be a homemaker for 40 years. On April 7th, 1951, she married Lindsey Lee Lucas who preceded her in death.  She was the last original member of State Line Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughters, Deborah Lucas Tickle and her fiancé Ed Houser, of Grandy, NC and Kristy Lucas Hite (Eddie) of Ringgold, VA; three grandchildren, Jason Brett Tickle (Rachelle),  Brian Kyle Tickle (Leslie), and Lindsey Elizabeth Hite (Scott Slade). One great-grandson, Liev Tickle; many nieces and nephews; and many special friends.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Lucas was predeceased by her brother, Bruce Hogan.

Memorial services will be conducted on Friday, November 3, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. at State Line Baptist Church, with the Reverend Eddie Hite officiating. Visitation will be held from 3:30 until 5:00 at the church and at other times the family will be at 1828 Barker Rd., Ringgold, VA 24586. Interment will be private.

In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to State Line Baptist Church, Dependable Sunday School Class, 651 Holland Rd., Danville, VA 24541.
