Heaven gained a beautiful angel Sunday morning, January 14, 2018, Marian Elizabeth Strader Gore, age 91. She was surrounded by her family.

She was born in Pelham, NC on October 29, 1926 to the late Azariah James Strader and Fannie Barber Strader. Mrs. Gore was married to the late Austin Wilber Gore.

Mrs. Gore was predeceased by her infant son, Dennis Wilber; great-granddaughter, and her brother, Luther James Strader. She was the last of her family’s generation.

She leaves behind four daughters, Sharon G. Jones (Dennis), Carol G. Bowen (Larry), Frances A. Gore, and Wendy J. Gore; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at Schoolfield Cemetery with Rev. Wayne Wallace and Donald Gryder officiating. At other times, the family will be at the home of her daughter, Sharon Jones, 250 Crestwood Dr., Danville, VA 24541.
