Mark Allen Jarrett, 52, of 461 Golden Lane, Sutherlin, died at his residence on Friday, May 17, 2013 after a long struggle with bone cancer. Born in Danville on June 20, 1960, he was the son of the late James David Jarrett and Betty Shelton Jarrett Travis, who survives him. He was married to Karen Ferguson Jarrett. Mark was a kind and loving husband, father, and son who stood by his faith. He was a member of Church of the Bretheren and he had worked as a carman for Norfolk Southern Railroad. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by a daughter, Mindy Michelle Jarrett Tedeschi and her husband, Vincent, of Danville; a son, Brandon Lee Jarrett of the home; three brothers, Curtis David Jarrett and his wife, Elizabeth, of Syracuse, NY, Michael Wayne Jarrett and his wife, Deborah, of Grottoes, VA, and Brian Kevin Jarrett and his wife, Angel, of Harrisonburg, VA;, and half-sister, Angie Jarrett Isom, of Danville.
Funeral services for Mr. Jarrett will be held on Monday, May 20, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Barker Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ricky Berkley officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Burial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, May 19, 2013 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.
