Mary Jane Berg, age 84, of 229 Brentwood Dr., Danville, VA, died on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at Danville Regional Medical Center.

She was born on October 19, 1930, in Danville, VA, to the late Ollie Gentry and Mary McDowell Tate.

Mrs. Berg worked as a salesperson for Something Else in Blairs, VA and was of the Baptist faith. Her family and her grandchildren were her world.

She is survived by daughter, Lori Horsley of Roanoke Rapids, NC; sons, Larry Perry of Mooresville, NC and Joe Perry of Kernersville, NC; sister, Barbara Conner of Danville, VA; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Berg was predeceased by brothers: Howard Gentry and Wayne Gentry;son, Phillip Reed Tujo; daughter, Janice Marie Deaton.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 11, 2015 at Highland Burial Park with Rev. R. J. Barber officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at Swicegood Funeral Home.
