Mildred (Fisher) Angell passed March 18, 2015, at Agape Hospice Senior Living in Conway, SC, at the age of 88. She is survived by her daughter Fran (Angell) Campbell and husband Jim Campbell; two grandchildren, Tracey Deloatche, of Springfield VA, and Jason Campbell and his wife, Lauren, of Las Vegas, NV; four great-grandchildren, Megan Melton, Sean and Alexis Deloatche, and Jonas Edward Campbell; and three great-great-grandchildren, Anthony and Adrian Gonzalez, and Isabella Carranza.
Mildred and husband, Raymond Edward Angell, were long-time residents of Schoolfield (Danville) VA, where they were born and raised, and of Raleigh NC where they worked for many years until retiring to the Clarksville, VA, area. They were married on December 25, 1945, soon after Ray returned home from his service as a Marine Corps Infantryman in WW II. They were married for over 45 years until Ray's death in August 1992. Their only child, Fran, born in October 1946, resides with her husband, of 47 years, Jim Campbell, in Myrtle Beach, SC.
The family will receive visitors at Antioch Baptist Church on March 20, 2015, from 6 pm to 8 pm, and also at Swicegood-Barker Funeral Home in Danville VA from 10 am to 12 am on March 21, 2015. Funeral services will begin at 2 PM March 21, 2015, at Antioch Baptist Church, Red Oak, VA. Burial services will follow at Schoolfield Cemetery in Danville, VA.
