Mr. Otis Wayne Adkins, age 79, of 1535 Kemper Road, Danville, VA, passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at his home.

He was born on September 4, 1937, in Pittsylvania County, VA, to the late O.Z. Adkins and Grace Elise Doss Mitchell.

Mr. Adkins owned and operated Adkins Insurance agency and was a member of South Danville Church of Christ.

He is survived by his loving wife Celia Adkins, of the home; children, Thomas Wayne Adkins (Tonya) of Asheville, NC, and Susan Marie Reynolds of Danville, VA; also granddaughter, Kaitlyn Adkins of Asheville, NC.

In addition to his parents Mr. Adkins was predeceased by two brothers, Jim Adkins and Barry Adkins.

Graveside services will be conducted Friday, September 23, 2016 at Highland Burial Park at 3pm with Rev. Hershel Stone officiating. Visitation will be held Friday, September 23, 2016 at Swicegood Funeral Home at 1pm until 2:30pm. The family will be receiving at other times at 1535 Kemper Road, Danville, VA 24541.
