Paul J. Goodman Sr., age 75, of 2834 Westover Dr., Danville, VA, died on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at Kindred Hospital in Greensboro, NC.

He was born on November 28, 1939, in Danville, VA, to the late Otha H. Goodman and Evie Grace Cundiff Goodman.

Mr. Goodman was the owner/operator of Goodman Rentals before his retirement, and he was of the Baptist faith. He lived his entire life in Danville. Mr. Goodman had been in declining health for the past two years. He was an avid tennis player. Mr. Goodman loved growing different flowers and horticulture in general.

He is survived by his wife Peggy Goodman of the residence; sons: Paul J. Goodman Jr. of Pelham, NC; Tony A. Goodman of Dry Fork; and Richard Tyler Goodman of Danville; brother, Otha H. Goodman Jr. and wife Mary of Danville, VA; sisters: Joyce Barker; Kathy Floyd and husband Wayne all of Danville; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 01, 2015 at Swicegood Funeral Home with Rev. David Hatcher officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Highland Burial Park.

The family request memorial contributions be made to the Danville Cancer Association, 223 Riverview Dr., Ste. J, Danville, VA 24541.
