Mr. Philip Wayne Bryant, age 77, of 815 Liberty Street, Martinsville, VA, died on Sunday, May 1, 2016 at Martinsville Memorial Hospital, Martinsville, VA.

Mr. Bryant was born on November 18, 1938, in Gretna, VA, to the late Ruben Jackson Bryant and Ruth Shields Bryant.

He worked at Bassett Furniture Company as a Machine Operator and served two years, 1962-1964, in the United States Army.

Mr. Bryant is survived by his brother Jack Bryant and wife Jean of Dry Fork, VA.

The family will receive friends Friday, May 6, 2016 from 6-7 o’clock p.m. at Swicegood Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at a later date.
