Mr. Ralph Trail, age 95, of 112 Front Street, Danville, Va, entered Heavens gates on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at his residence.

Mr. Trail was born on October 2, 1921, in Pulaski, VA, to the late Samuel Trail and Maude Tabor Trail.  He was married to Martha Vernell Bowling Trail who predeceased him.  He had lived most of his adult life in Danville and was employed by Dan River, Inc.  He was of the Christian faith.

Mr. Trail is survived by his children, Eugene Ralph Trail, JoAnne Mitchell and Wayne Trail, of Danville, and Bonnie Hamlett (Charlie) and Albert Trail (Beth) of Keeling.  Other survivors include seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, and brother, Samuel Preston Trail, Jr.

In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Trail was predeceased by four brothers and three sisters.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Danville Memorial Gardens with Rev. Lewis Harris Officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Barker Funeral Home.
