Ray Lumpkin Obituary

Ray Eugene Lumpkin, age 70, of 520 Third Avenue, Danville, died on Monday, February 19, 2018 at SOVAH Health in Danville.

Born in Danville on October 29, 1947, he was the son of the late FredThomas Lumpkin, Sr. and Vera Kathlyne Moore Lumpkin. He was married to Judy Gayle Lewis Lumpkin who survives him of the residence.

Before his retirement, Mr. Lumpkin had worked as a truck driver. He was of the Christian faith.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Lumpkin is survived by four sons, Dale Lumpkin (Tammy) of Mt. Vernon, OH, Scott Lumpkin (Angie) of Southport, NC, Christopher Lumpkin (fiancée Christy Lee) of Danville, and Donnie Lumpkin (Angie) of Yanceyville, NC; grandchildren Desiray Lumpkin and Haylee Adkins; and one sister, Shirley L. Abbott.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased one son, Ronnie Lumpkin, three brothers and one sister.
