Mr. Richard Merrill (Rick) Clark, age 64, of 10723 High Mountain Ct., Glen Allen, VA, passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at his residence.

He was born on May 22, 1952, in Richmond, VA, to the late Richard Thomas Clark and Grace Merrill Clark.

Rick is a proud graduate of the University of Virginia (Go Hoos!).  Before his retirement, Rick worked in the telephony and information technology fields at C&P Telephone, AT&T, Bank of America, and SunTrust Bank. He was of the Methodist faith.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Jan Gillespie Clark and canine companion, Hoover; brother in law, Sam Gillespie (Lori), sister-in-law Karen Hawker, sister-in law Kim DeBoe (Don),   nieces Kacey DeBoe and Erynn Gillespie and nephews Christopher Hawker, Jonathan Hawker, and Parker Robertson.  He is also survived by cousins Shirley Baggerly, Sheila Snider, and Faye Jenkins. 

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Danville Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p .m. on Friday, April 28, 2017 at Swicegood Funeral Home.
