Shirley Elliott Robertson, age 84, of 112 Robindell Court, Danville, VA, died on Monday, April 17, 2017 at her residence.

Mrs. Robertson was born on January 10 1933, in Danville, VA, a daughter of the late John Benjamin Elliott and Delorah Knick Elliott. She was married to Charles W. Robertson who preceded her in death. She was employed as a sales clerk at Thalhimers and was a lifelong member of Fairview United Methodist Church. She will always be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother.

Mrs. Robertson is survived by two children, Cindy Farmer (Paige) and Wes Robertson (Claudette); five grandchildren, Brandon Farmer (April), Lindsay Robertson (Brooke), Dustin Robertson, Allison Robertson and Anna Robertson; one great grandson, Holden Barrick Robertson; and one brother, Raymond A. Elliott.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sister, Frances E. Powell.

Graveside Services will be conducted on Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at 2:00 PM in Highland Burial Park with Reverend Garland officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2017, from 7:00 to 8:00 PM at Swicegood Funeral Home.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to Hazel Durham and Sylvia Hamlet for their love and care.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the Danville Lifesaving Crew, 202 Christopher Lane. Danville, VA 24541; and the Danville Pittsylvania Cancer Association, 223 Riverview Drive, Suite J Danville, VA 24541.
