Mr. Tommy Lee Gunnell, II, age 24, of 101 David Rd., Pelham, NC, went home to be with the Lord on April 29, 2017 unexpectedly at 342 Poole Rd., Pelham, NC.

Tommy Lee was born on September 3, 1992, in Danville, VA, survived by his mother Traci Newcomb Gunnell and his father Tommy Lee Gunnell, Sr. and step-mother, Holly Gunnell.

In addition to his parents, Tommy Lee is also survived by Samantha Talbott and their son, Tommy Lee Gunnell III, and Step-daughter, Joshlynn Talbott as well as his aunt Nikki Collins and Uncle David, his Grandfather, Tony Newcomb (Nancy), Step-Grandfather, Carl Collins, Step-Grandparents, Mattie and Thomas Mason, Step-siblings, Faith, Gabby, and Riley, Great Uncle, Doug Ganey, Step sister, Karman Dowdy.  Mr. Gunnell also leaves behind his cousins, Zach Furgurson, Sydni Furgurson, Alyssa and Kendra Watlington, Adam Loftis, Sam Loftis, Godfather, Danny “Big Danny” Whitt, and Godmother, Melinia Doss.  He will be deeply missed by his half-brothers, Joshua Holbrook, and Hunter Williams. Tommy Lee also leaves behind too many numerous friends and family to be named.

Tommy was predeceased by Nanny Rookie (Sylvia Newcomb Collins), Aunt, Toni Newcomb Moore, Grandparents, Pop and Irene Gunnell.

Tommy Lee worked at A & A Mechanical as a welder, mechanic, and heavy equipment operator and was of the Baptist faith.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, May 5, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Lively Stones Baptist Church with the Rev. Daniel Custer officiating. Visitation will be held at Swicegood Funeral Home Thursday May 4, 2017, from 6:00PM to 9:00PM. Interment will follow at Lively Stones Baptist Church Cemetery.
