Tony Allen DeBaere, 47, passed away from a tragic motorcycle accident on Friday, July 24, 2015.  He was born on September 5, 1967 to the late Margaret Elizabeth Jones.  Tony was of the Baptist faith.  He worked as a superintendent for W.S. Construction for 28 years.  Tony was an avid fisherman and hunter who loved to ride his motorcycle.  He loved his family dearly and was a very dedicated family man.  Tony will be greatly missed.  Along with his mother, Tony is preceded in death by his brothers, Raymond DeBaere, Lexie Dean Jones, James Lee DeBaere and Shane Mullis.

Tony is survived by his children, Amber DeBaere, Bobby DeBaere, Brandi DeBaere, and Christina DeBaere Echols and husband, Michael; his only grandchild, Savannah Echols; brother, Charles Russell DeBaere and his family; sister, Tammy DeBaere Francis and her family; special friend, Wendy Gilchrist and her sons, Nathan Sanchez and Jayden Rippey.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 -2:30 pm in the Swicegood Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, July 31, 2015 and other times at his home.  A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 pm in the Swicegood Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Hatcher officiating. Interment will follow at Sandy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. 2865 Sandy Creek Church Road, Ringgold, Virginia.

The family has requested that everyone dress casually for Tony’s service, in honor of his love of motorcycles, please feel free to ride.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to his two youngest children (Amber and Bobby DeBaere) college fund, c/o Virginia Bank and Trust.
