Vera Louise Ferguson Wilkerson, age 78, of 1339 Lovelace Rd., Pelham, NC, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 08, 2017 at Danville Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on January 10, 1939, in Danville, VA.

Mrs. Wilkerson was a homemaker and was of the holiness faith. She loved the Lord, her family, and her pets.

She is survived by her daughters, Brenda Gryder and husband Donald, of Pelham, NC and Kathy Spencer and husband Nathan, of Chatham, VA; grandchildren: Brian Boswell, Alicia Hawkins, Joshua Spencer, and Caleb Spencer; six great-grandchildren; brother, Billy and Dianne Beverly; and sisters, Shirley Greene, Nora Hough, and Peggy Pruitt.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Wilkerson was predeceased by her husband, Clarence Junior Wilkerson and sister, Dorothy Beverly.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at the Wilkerson Family Cemetery with Rev. Wayne Wallace officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 10, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. at Swicegood Funeral Home. At other times, the family will be at the residence, 1339 Lovelace Rd., Pelham, NC.
