Virginia (Loftis) Johnson

Mrs. Virginia Loftis Johnson, age 81, of 1193 Silver Creek Rd., Danville, VA, went to her heavenly home on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at SOVAH Health.

She was born on February 04, 1937, in Pittsylvania County, VA, to the late Robert Phil Loftis and Lena Adkins Loftis.

Before her retirement, Mrs. Johnson worked for the Danville Police Department for 33 years, as a secretary for the Chief of Police and was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church.

She is survived by her sons, Leonard T. Johnson, Jr. and wife, Deb and Christopher P. Johnson and wife, Darcey, all of Danville, VA; grandchildren, Mary Katherine List, Elizabeth Ann Johnson, Christopher Robert (C. J.) Johnson, Jacob Wayne Johnson, Staci Cagle, and Thomas Eugene Johnson; two great-grandsons; two great-granddaughters; sister, Cynthia Thomasson; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Johnson was predeceased by her husband, Leonard T. Johnson, Sr. and sister, Louise Walton.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Woodlawn Baptist Church with Pastor Brad Childress officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Swicegood Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Danville Memorial Gardens. At other times, the family will be at the residence.
