William Dix, age 84, of Danville, VA, passed away on Wednesday, March 08, 2017 at Piney Forest Health and Rehab Center in Danville, VA.

Mr. Dix was born on July 29, 1932, in Danville, VA, a son of the late Humphrey Dix and Lilly Laws Dix. He was employed by Danville Lumber Company. Mr. Dix was married to Ruby Adkins Dix who survives.

In addition to his wife he is survived by one brother, Curtis Dix and one sister, Jean McMillon. He is also survived by his children and grandchildren.

A Graveside Service will be conducted on Monday, March 13, 2017 at 2:00 PM in Floral Hills Memory Gardens with the Reverend Adam Cook officiating.
