Ms. Essie Strader, age 84, of Danville, Virginia, passed away on Monday, February 26, 2024 at Sovah Health.
Ms. Strader was born on March 10, 1939 in Ferrum, Virginia to the late Herman Gusler and Frances Young Gusler.
Ms. Strader spent most of her life in Danville where she was a secretary for Dan River Mills.
Ms. Strader is survived by her son David Strader (Jenn Buchanan); daughters, Susan Smith and Sandy Evans (Shea); grandchildren, Christopher Evans (Ashley Mauk), Gracie Shelton (Jonathan), Molly Smith (Ryan Thomas), and Meghan Strader.
Graveside services will be conducted on Friday, March 1, 2024 at 2:00pm at Danville Memorial Gardens with Reverend Eddie Hite officiating.
