Robert L. Warren

Robert Lewis Warren, age 88, of Danville, VA, passed away on Friday, April 5, 2024, at Sovah Health.

Mr. Warren was born on August 9, 1935, in Danville, VA, a son of the late Raleigh T. Warren and Ruby Martin Warren.

Mr. Warren lived most of his life in Washington D.C. and Danville and was employed as the maintenance director at Piney Forest Healthcare. He was married to Helen Davis Warren who predeceased him and later married Faith Cody Warren who also predeceased him. Mr. Warren served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War and was a member of American Legion Post 325. He was a member of Grace Design Methodist Church and was affiliated with the Salvation Army, Lions Club and was a 33rd Degree Mason.

Mr. Warren is survived by his step children, Jane Coyle and Brian Cody; step grandchildren, Joshua Coyle and Jamison Coyle; five step great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by two sister-in laws, Sandra Warren (Tommy) and Nancy Warren (Ronnie).

In addition to his parents and wives, he was predeceased by his brothers, Raleigh Thomas Warren and Ronnie L. Warren.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Swicegood Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Danville Memorial Gardens.
