Mrs. Bessie "Bebbie" Doolin Snead, age 93, formerly of Halifax Rd., Danville, VA, passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Roman Eagle Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, where she has been a resident for the past 17 years.

She was born on April 26, 1924, in Pittsylvania County, VA, to the late Sam Doolin and Lora Gee Doolin.

Mrs. Snead was a homemaker and was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son, Jerry McGuire and his wife, Elaine, of Pelham, NC; grandchild, Tammy Poplin and husband, Joe, of Dry Fork, VA; great-grandchildren, Morgan Harris and Jacob Harris; and sisters, Charlotte Doolin, of Ringgold, VA and Frances Myers, of Danville, VA.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Snead was preceded in death by her husband, Hobert H. Snead and brother, Ralph Doolin.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 17, 2017 at Highland Burial Park with Rev. Lawrence Morris and Rev. Allen Morris officiating. At other times, the family will be at the residence of her son, Jerry McGuire, 518 Bob Gauldin Rd., Pelham, NC.
