Beulah Mae (Haymore) Munford

Our very precious mother, Beulah Mae Haymore Munford, age 94, of Danville, VA, walked through the gates of heaven on Friday, August 09, 2019 at Roman Eagle Health and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born on March 30, 1925, in Dry Fork, VA, to the late Rev. Lemmie S. Haymore and Sallie Shelton Haymore.

Before her retirement, Mrs. Munford worked as a spinner in the spinning room at Dan River Mills and was a member of Riveroak Church of God.

She is survived by her sons, Sammy R. Munford (Carolyn), of Dry Fork, VA and Keith Munford (Pam), of Cleveland, Tenn.; sister, Phyllis Haymore Shelton, of Danville, VA; grandchildren, Tammy Tucker, Callie Munford Seay, Leah Munford Slowiak and David Munford; and great-grandchildren, Bradley Tucker, Nicholas Tucker, Dylan Seay, Mason Seay, Sarah Slowiak, and Grayson Slowiak.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Munford was predeceased by her husband, Samuel Munford; daughter, Sandra Collins;  and brothers, Dennis H. Haymore, Raymond D. Haymore, David O. Haymore, and Jimmy Wayne Haymore.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, August 12, 2019 at Swicegood Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Hearp and Rev. Keith Munford officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Danville Memorial Gardens.
