Mrs. Catherine Roberts Chandler, age 88, of 49 Schoolfield, Danville, VA, passed away on September 11, 2017 at Carillion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

She was born on September 11, 1929, in Danville, VA, to the late John Roberts and Dora Grimes Roberts.

Before her retirement, Mrs. Chandler worked at Dan River Mills and was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her children, Richard Chandler, Jr. and his wife, Betty, of Danville, VA; Raymond Chandler, of Milton, NC; and Peggy Wright and husband, Jim, of Maine; five grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren; and three brothers.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Chandler was predeceased by two brothers and two sisters.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Danville Memorial Gardens with Rev. Kenneth Hammack officiating.  At other times, the family will be at the residence of her son, Richard Chandler, Jr., 49 Schoolfield Dr., Danville, VA.
