Mr. Charles Lavern Jones, Sr., age 68, of 300 Martin Rd., Lot#1, Danville, VA, passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at his residence.

He was born on September 08, 1948, in Danville, VA, to the late Hugh L. Jones and Estell Annie Lunsford Jones.

Mr. Jones worked as an industrial and commercial painter.

He is survived by his children: Charles Jones, Jr., Tammy Finney, and David L. Jones; grandchildren, Christina Danielle Jones, Mason Lee Jones, and Bryson Doak; and one great-grandchild, Dallas Milam IV.

In addition to his parents Mr. Jones was predeceased by siblings, David Jones, Raymond Jones, Herman Jones, Dean Jones, and Margaret Mullis.

Visitation will be held from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 21, 2017 at Swicegood Funeral Home.
