Mr. Claude Preston Scott, age 56, of 2541 Brookside Rd., Axton, Va. passed away on Saturday, June 3,, 2017 at his Residence.

Mr. Scott was born on November 11, 1960, in Danville Va., to the late Roy Huston Scott and Hallie Mae Hamilton Scott.

Before his retirement, Mr. Scott worked in Dan River Mills, and was of the Baptist faith.

Mr. Scott is survived by his children: Jill Lynn Scott, of Pelham, N.C. and Rachel Scott, of Pittsylvania Co.; grandson, Cameron Crowder; sister, Gloria Vest; brothers: Roy H. Scott, Jr. and Edward Lee Scott, both all of Danville Va.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Scott was predeceased by his brothers, Dallas Wayne Scott and James William Scott.

A celebration of Claude’s life will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at Swicegood Funeral Home with Dr. Charles Scearce officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
