Daniel Sigmon, age 88, of Danville, VA, passed away peacefully in his sleep and went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, June 21, 2019, at his home.
Mr. Sigmon was born on August 3, 1930, in Danville, VA, a son of the late, Thomas Michael Sigmon and Bertha Quintrell Sigmon. He lived all of his life in Danville where he was employed with Regal Paper Company as a machine operator. Mr. Sigmon was of the Christian faith.
Mr. Sigmon is survived by his brother, Sammy Sigmon; step-daughter, Alice Burton; son-in-law, Kenny Burton; step-grandson, Daniel Sally; nephew, Scott Michaels; niece, Lisa Michaels, and her children, D. J. Jones and Taylor Paige Jones.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters, Goldie Sawyer and Lou Michaels and brother, Wiseman Sigmon.
Graveside services will be conducted on Monday, June 24, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Schoolfield Cemetery with Dr. Charles Scearce officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday evening from 6:00 until 7:30 PM at Swicegood Funeral Home.
