Mr. David Walter Snead, Sr., age 51, of 339 Cascade Rd., Cascade, VA, won his courageous battle with ALS (Lou Gehrigs Disease) on October 7, 2018.
He was born on November 25, 1966 to Linda Hudson Snead and the late Luther Walter Snead.
David lived all his life in the Brosville Community where he helped many local farmers at a very young age. Then in 1982 at the age of 18 began his first and only public job of 31 years at Danville Plywood, which later became Mohawk/Columbia Flooring. He was a very active and faithful member of the WestFork Pentecostal Holiness Church. David had a passion for wood working; nothing pleased him more than making special pieces for family and friends to treasure.
On February 14th 1997, David married his devoted wife, Pamela Stout Snead, and they were blessed with 3 children, Heather Nicole Snead, Allison Paige Snead, and David Walter Snead, Jr. (D. J.), and his right hand man, Dillion Johnson of the residence. He is also survived by 3 loving sisters, Bonnie Keen and husband, Charles, of Blairs; Donna Rippert and husband, Mark, of Danville; Patty Ricketts and husband, David, of Danville, VA. Also, 2 caring nieces, Andrea Wells and husband, Billy, and Sarah Ricketts, and 2 helpful nephews, A. J. Holley and Tyler Ricketts; and a number of supportive aunts, uncles, and cousins.
