Donna Scearce Giles

Mrs. Donna Lynn Scearce Giles, age 56, of 352 Yellow Bird Place, Cascade, VA, passed away at her residence on Wednesday, May 01, 2019.  She was born in Danville on December 6, 1962 to the late Melvin Franklin Scearce and Pearl Jones Scearce.  She was married to George William Giles who survives her of the residence.  Donna was a homemaker and she dearly loved her grandchildren and her fur babies.  She was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her husband, Donna is survived by her children, Brandie Giles Kendrick (Zachary Kendrick), of Danville, and Nick Giles of Cascade, VA, and her step-daughter, Crystal Ward of Snow Creek, NC.  Other survivors include her grandchildren, Laila Giles, Jacob Ward, Leah-Grace Kendrick and Juna Kendrick;  her sisters, Margaret S. Gardner and Brenda S. Trammell;  and her brother, James “Frankie” Scearce.  In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Sandford Ray Scearce.

A graveside service for Mrs. Giles will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 06, 2019 at Danville Memorial Gardens with Rev. Zachary Kendrick officiating.  The family will receive friends and family at the home of Margaret Gardner, 937 Cascade Road, Cascade, VA, 24069.
